About This Webinar
Chinese Communist Party is persecuting Falun Gong (know also as Falun Dafa) for already 21 years. Falun Gong is a peaceful meditation practice that is based on the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance. Practitioners of Falun Dafa are incorporating these principles in everyday life and additionally doing gentle exercises and meditation that are good for the body and mind.
Falun Gong is practiced peacefully in more than 80 countries, so why are they brutally persecuted in China since 1999? In this lecture we will give a comprehensive overview and show how much resources the CCP is dedicating for the persecution of Falun Gong, which will help understand why it is called one of the biggest cases of persecution of faith in 21st century.
In the presentation we will show the school system’s role in the persecution of Falun Gong – how little children are already brainwashed into hatred towards Falun Gong and what pressure is exerted onto their parents.
We will talk about the 610 Office: China’s Gestapo, which is a special extralegal institution that was created solely for the purpose of persecuting Falun Gong practitioners.
We will present various brainwashing tactics, tortures and other methods, whose purpose in only to make Falun Gong practitioners renounce their faith. We will show how the persecution affects not only Falun Gong practitioners, but also their families and in fact every layer of China.
It’s not easy to understand why peaceful people that just want to be good for society are persecuted so brutally for so long and why CCP spend almost all its resources in a fanatical war against Falun Gong. We will touch this complex topic and talk about the evil nature of communism and why it wants to persecute Falun Gong so badly. We will show what can we do to stop the persecution and why it’s important to make a stand against it.
The presentation will feature a talk by Ms. Jennifer Zeng, who is a victim of the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in China. She was held against her will, physically and mentally tortured, and kept in cramped conditions when she was thrown into a labour camp in 2000. Jennifer fled China in 2001 for Australia.
Jennifer Zeng is a well-known activist and bilingual writer, editor and journalist. She is the author of best seller “Witnessing History: one woman's fight for freedom and Falun Gong”, as well as the main character of multi-award winning documentary “Free China: the courage to believe”.
Our second guest will be Ms. Zhang Yanhua, also a victim of Falun Gong persecution in China. Zhang Yanhua, 51, was in China a factory worker. She started practicing Falun Gong in 1992. Before she was arrested, her family was relatively rich and she enjoyed a harmonious family life.
In 2001, she was arrested and then incarcerated in a women’s prison in Harbin, Northeastern China for seven years. After her release in 2008, she was arrested again in 2017 and detained for 3.5 months, during which she went on hunger strike for nearly 100 days.
Our third speaker will be Ms. Ann-Sofie Alm, who is a Swedish politician and Member of Parliament for the Moderate Party. She is also a member of The Inter-Parliamentary Alliance on China (IPAC). She will talk about the persecution of Falun Gong from her perspective.
Our fourth speaker will be His Excellency Ambassador Prof. Dr. Jhy-Wey Shieh of the Republic of China (Taiwan) to Germany. He will present us the situation of Falun Gong in Taiwan, which stays in contrast to the situation in continental China, and how the Taiwanese government safeguards religious freedom for all citizens.
At the end of the talk we plan a Q&A session.
If you want to understand one of the biggest human right tragedies of our time and how it affects us all, you don’t want to miss this lecture.
