Shocking Discovery: CCP’s State Media Outlets Have Over 120 Million Facebook Followers

Upon examining Facebook accounts with the most followers, it's startling to discover that the official media accounts of the Chinese Communist Party boast a staggering number of followers on Facebook, surpassing those of Western mainstream media by a considerable margin. Even well-known global media outlets like CNN, BBC, and The New York Times have notably fewer followers.
Interestingly, Facebook is banned in mainland China. So, where do they acquire such a substantial fan base? Perhaps it's worth posing this question to Facebook and Mr. Zuckerberg.
The Top 5 Largest CCP State Media Outlets on Facebook
Below is a list of the top 50 Facebook accounts with the most followers (sourced from Wikipedia).
You can observe that among the top 15, there are three media accounts with over 100 million followers, two of which belong to CCP state media. They are CGTN (China Global Television Network) and China Daily, with 121 million and 111 million followers respectively. They even surpass the number of followers on YouTube and Netflix.
No state-owned media in the world has more than 100 million Facebook followers, and no mainstream Western media has achieved this milestone. However, the Chinese Communist Party, despite banning Facebook, has amassed such a large following on the platform.
Among the top 50 accounts with the most followers on Facebook, there are five CCP state media and one Chinese company, Huawei. These five Chinese state media are:
CGTN: 121 million followers
China Daily: 111 million followers
Xinhua News Agency: 96 million followers
People's Daily: 85 million followers
Global Times: 77 million followers
Huawei Mobile has 58 million followers on Facebook
Huawei Has 87 Million Followers on Facebook
A Chinese company, Huawei, boasts two large accounts on Facebook. Huawei has 30 million followers, while Huawei Mobile has 58 million followers. It outstrips the follower count of some Western giants such as Tesla, Apple, and Boeing.
CCTV Has 49 Million Followers on Facebook
In addition to the top 50 list provided by Wikipedia, we find that another dominant Chinese domestic media outlet, CCTV (China Central Television), also maintains a Facebook account, garnering more than 49 million followers.

Let’s examine the number of followers of these Chinese state-owned media on Weibo, China’s largest blogging social media platform:
People’s Daily: 153 million
Xinhua News Agency: 111 million
CCTV News: 133 million
Global Times: 31.19 million
Additionally, the Chinese company Huawei's largest account on Weibo is Huawei Terminal, with only 23.95 million followers, significantly fewer than its Facebook following.
Please Pay Attention to This Abnormal Phenomenon
Despite Facebook being banned in China, CCP state media's international propaganda accounts have amassed similar follower counts as in China. This anomaly is noteworthy.
In fact, the number of followers of Global Times and Huawei on Facebook far exceeds their following in China. This discrepancy warrants attention and calls for an investigation by relevant authorities.
