This could be a sign that the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) will require the teachers and students to participate in the information war that the CCP has waged against the West. )

Notice on Collecting Information about Foreign (Overseas) Self-Media Accounts Established by Teachers and Students
To all units,
As requested by the Publicity Department of the Beijing Municipal Party Committee, in order to further promote the image of China in foreign countries and “tell China’s stories well” through new self-media platforms, the university is now collecting information and statistics of foreign (overseas) self-media accounts established by teachers and students in all departments.
The requirements are specified as follows:
1. The statistical work involves all functional departments, secondary colleges, and research institutes of the university. Designated staff should be appointed by all units to gather information of the foreign (overseas) self-media accounts set by students and teachers, register everyone with their real name and fill in the “Statistical Sheet of Individual Foreign (Overseas) Self-Media Accounts in Beijing International Studies University” and the “Summary Sheet of Individual Foreign (Overseas) Self-Media Accounts in Beijing International Studies University”. Foreign (overseas) self-media platforms include but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, Buzzfeed and so forth.
2. All units are required to summarize the statistical results and hand them to the department head for reviewing, signing and stamping. Before 17:00 on April 21, the “Summary Sheet of Individual Foreign (Overseas) Self-Media Accounts in Beijing International Studies University” should be submitted in printed form to the Party Committee Propaganda Department after being signed and stamped. The “Statistical Sheet of Individual Foreign (Overseas) Self-Media Accounts in Beijing International Studies University” is to be kept by secondary units.
