Fake News Is More Sophisticated Than Just Fake News 關於川金會的「假新聞」例證
As I didn't have time to watch or read any news about Trump-Kim Summit last night, the first thing I did this morning was to turn on the radio to learn what had exactly happened during and after this so-called "historical meeting". I did gain quite some "knowledge" and impressions of the meeting after I listened to the radio.
昨天我沒時間看川普和金正恩會面的報導，所以今早起來，第一件事就是打開收音機聽這方面的新聞。聽完報導，我覺得我基本上了解了這個被稱爲「歷史性的」川金會的一些事情，比如說，它沒有達成任何實質性成果，或稱沒有任何實質性結果，是個很失敗、很空洞的會面……
Then I cooked my breakfast and watched the TV while eating. And then, what happened?
然後我就做了早飯，再一邊吃早飯一邊看電視。結果怎樣呢？
My "knowledge" and impressions about the Trump-Kim Summit completely changed after I watched the full video of Trump's press conference after the summit!
看完川普在川金會之後的記者會的原始視頻，我剛才從收音機裏得到的關於川金會的印象和感覺完全變了！從電視報導中，我才了解到，這次會面，不但雙方達成了聯合聲明，聯合聲明有四項內容，川普將邀請金正恩訪問美國，川普表示已經與金正恩建立了「良好的關係」，這次會面「比任何人預期的都要好」，等等。
這怎麼能叫沒什麼成果或結果呢？其實，川金會在一波三折之後能夠成功召開本身，就已經是個成果了，雙方能夠達成聯合聲明，也已經是重大成果了。要知道，美中貿易談判第一輪下來時，還什麼聯合聲明都沒有呢。
後來又在網上看到了川金會前，川普給金正恩看的那個四分鐘短片，就覺得這個短片可真稱得上是「威恩並施」，堂堂正正啊。美國能堂堂正正敲打金正恩，讓他做出「此生只此一次」的正確選擇，反過來，金正恩有任何類似的東西能拿給川普看嗎？當然沒有。
So, what lesson can we learn from this? I realized one more time that fake news is far more sophisticated than just "fake news". Sometimes there is nothing fake in a piece of news, but you are misled anyway.
那爲什麼我在聽了收音機和看完記者會視頻後，對川金會的感觀和印象會完全不一樣呢？我再次意識到，所謂「假新聞(fake news)」絕不僅僅是假新聞那麼簡單。有時間一條新聞不是假的，卻完全可以誤導你。
How the reporter chooses to report the news, what kind of facts he/she selects to let you know, what kind of language he/she chooses to use, etc. all these subtle things lead you to believe in something or form an impression about something which may not be true at all.
比如，記者怎樣去報導一件事，他/她選取報什麼不報什麼，包括他/她所使用的語言、詞彙、語氣，等等等等，許許多多非常微妙的東西，都在引導著你，讓你形成對一件事情的錯誤判斷或感覺——雖然他/她並沒有報不真實的消息。
So, be aware of all the more sophisticated fake news! If you want to learn something, try to start from the most "primitive" materials, such as the full video of a press conference, instead of just swallowing whatever you are given!
所以，大家看媒體報導時，真的要小心！最好是選擇更「原始」的資料去看、去聽，比如記者會的全程原始視頻，那個裏面沒有「二道販子」的東西。
還有，一個媒體，是否能從大局上正確地把握大局也很重要。如果你找到了這樣的媒體，那就儘量看這種媒體吧，省得這麼辛苦地要去甄別。
順便說一句，有人說：「現在大部分人對於川金會後續的發展處於觀望狀態，他們不太相信金正恩會兌現承諾。」對此，我倒是持謹慎的樂觀態度，原因是：第一、天象變了；第二、川普並不太好忽悠，而金正恩手裏也沒什麼牌了。
