My New Love Diary (4)： “My Heart Jumps” 我的新愛情日記（之四）：「心跳」
I forgot when it was. Perhaps it was shortly after he expressed his love for me. As soon as he went back home from my place, he told me his heart was “jumping” when he thought of me. He texted me in English, and I interpreted it as "怦然心動" in Chinese.
忘了是何時了，是剛剛收到「表白」不久吧，一分開，他就對我說，一想到我，心就直跳。他是說英文的，用的是「Jump」這個詞。我就馬馬虎虎理解成中文的「怦然心動」了。
It feels like that was a long time ago. Today he suddenly said again that when he thought of me, his heart started to "jump". I couldn't help but jokingly say, “Aren't people's hearts jumping all the time?"
已經有好久了吧？今天他突然又說，一想起我，他的心就又開始「Jump」了。我忍不住開玩笑說：「誰的心不跳啊？（ Aren't people's hearts jumping all the time）」
He argued seriously, "It is pumping or beating all the time. But mine feels like it jumps when I think of you."
他居然認真的分辯道：「人的心臟確實一直在收縮或跳動。但當我想起你時，我的心卻是在蹦！（It is pumping or beating all the time. But mine feels like it jumps when I think of you.)」
I remembered that he said he wished he had the same gift of expression as I do. It seems that this “dumb boy” of mine is indeed “dumb” with language skills and could only express his love with “heart jumping”.
我想起他說過，希望能擁有如我一般的語言表達天賦。好象這傻小子語言是夠貧瘠的，表達愛意也只會用「心跳」這一個詞。
I couldn't help but tease him again, "When you say jumping, I somehow think about puppies jumping when they see their owners coming back home...Is your heart jumping like that?
我忍不住又逗他道：「你說你的心在蹦，倒讓我想起小狗狗見到主人回家時高興得直蹦的樣子……你的心是像小狗那樣蹦嗎？（When you say jumping, I somehow think about puppies jumping when they see their owners coming back home…Is your heart jumping like that?）」
He replied joyfully, "Yea. You own my heart.”
他居然樂顛顛地答道：「是啊，你就是我的心之主人（Yea. You own my heart）。」
My heart instantly melted away. This “dumb boy” of mine, although doesn’t have better words than “heart jumping”, is so cute: He agrees he is like a "puppy" and is proud of it. How can I not cherish and love him more….
我的心瞬間被化掉了。這個傻小子，語言雖然貧瘠，卻可愛到自認是「小狗」，還挺自豪。這又讓人不由得不疼惜……
So, it seems that one doesn’t really need any “skills” or fancy words to express love. As long as your heart “jumps”, it’s good enough.
如此說來，要表達愛意，其實也不需要什麼花花腸子或語言天賦，「心跳」就行。
This somehow also reminds a line from “My Love from the Star”. When asked about the secret of acting, the main actress Cheon Song-yi said, “Just be pretty.”
哈哈，「『心跳』就行」這個表達方式，是套用了《來自星星的你》的女主千頌伊的一句臺詞。別人問她演技的奧妙時，她說，「漂亮就行。」
Her reply sounds "silly" enough, but people just forgive her because she is indeed very, very pretty.
話雖「淺薄」，但她能「漂亮」成那個樣子，確實是讓人不能不愛。
Oh, I am off-topic again. But my heart is so full of sweetness today that I can't help but "show off" a little.
……又跑題了。今天心裏太甜了，忍不住「炫耀」一下。
